Teacher coaches students in life skills

CUMMING, Ga --At South Forsyth High School, one reason teens take tough courses like Advanced Placement History and I.B Psychology is because of the person who teaches the classes, Kelly Wren.

"She really takes the time to get to know you and know how you learn. In the classroom I learn one way and on the court I learn another way," said Hannah Larson, a student and a member of the volleyball team Wren coaches.

Wren enjoys relating to teenagers, at their level.

"I'm not the stuffy type, 'it's so structured' type of teacher. I enjoy hearing about what they do. I love their personalities," said Wren.  "I enjoy being a part of it because the most important people to me were the people that coached me and taught me and guided me."

It's the reason Hannah nominated her for class act. Donna Lowry joins us. Donna, what is it about this particular teacher that teen like so much.

"Even when I was doing the worse in the class she pushed me to do more and study more.
