Fun run to benefit Wounded Warrior Project

CUMMING, Ga. -- Polo Golf and Country Club will host a fun family event this weekend to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Activities include a 2.5-mile fun run and a post-race party with trophies, a bounce house and a barbecue lunch.

The race will be held Saturday, Apr. 27. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the run scheduled to start at 11 a.m.

In honor of its 25th anniversary, the country club plans to donate $500 to the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit that helps injured servicemen and women, at the event.

"We are very excited to be celebrating Polo's 25th anniversary and are happy to be directly involved in this great cause," club general manager Dan Moscar said in a statement.

Registration for the fun run is $25 through Apr. 24 and $35 after.
