New traffic signal to turn on Tuesday
CUMMING, Ga. -- The new traffic signal at Peachtree Parkway and Stoney Point Road in Cumming will turn on before lunchtime Tuesday, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
"Crews are on site now to finish testing, double-check signage and pavement markings before starting the signal," DOT district engineer Bayne Smith said in a statement Tuesday morning. "Once the signal is operational, please use extra caution until you get familiar with the new signal location. Remember to watch out for other drivers until they get used to the new signal too."
