Gwinnett police search for missing local man | News

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for help from the public in finding a man who went missing last Wednesday.
According to police, Derek Woodston Buford, 42, left his Grayson home on Wednesday, August 22, for an unknown location.
Buford has not been seen since, and was last spotted driving a 2005 silver Mazda Tribute with Georgia tag BZK 0784.
Police said Buford has some medical issues that concern them, and he left his home with no medication. Police believe he may now be in medical distress.
Buford is described to be a white male, 5'11" and 175 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Buford works in Covington, Ga., and police believe he may be in Gwinnett, Newton, Rockdale or Walton counties. They ask that anyone who comes in contact with Buford call 911, and direct information on his whereabouts to GCPD detectives at (770) 513-5300.
