Recreational area reports missing 400-pound structure | News

FORSYTH COUNTY -- Forsyth County officials reported a bronze structure of an eagle missing from a Forsyth County recreational area on Friday.

Official believe the structure was taken Monday evening or Tuesday morning from the Bethelview Road trail head of the Big Creek Greenway multi-use trail.

The eagle structure is about six feet tall, 400 pounds, and has an 8-foot wingspan.

"This is the first time something of this nature has occurred at a Forsyth County park or recreational area," Parks and Recreation Director Jerry Kinsey said. "It is certainly our hope that the sculpture will be returned."
