FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- Several cats were found after fire officials initially feared them dead during a Forsyth County blaze.

The Forsyth County Fire Department was called to the 1600 block of Adair Blvd. around 6 p.m. officials said.

By then, there was already a blaze and heavy damage at the two story home.

Fire officials said no one was home at the time of the fire but there were animals.

Officials said a neighbor rescued a dog but said several cats were not located and were initially though dead.

Family later confirmed that the pets were found.
