Comcast impostor arrested for neighborhood thefts
News

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities arrested a man who they say posed as a Comcast employee to gain entry into homes to steal prescription pills.

Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Cumming neighborhood Nov. 9 for a suspicious person call. According to sheriff and witness reports, 43-year-old William Charles Arnold had driven through the neighborhood several times in a white "USIC" pickup truck wearing Comcast apparel. Investigators said Arnold lied to homeowners and said he worked for Comcast. Once inside, he would distract residents to find the drugs.

Deputies arrested Arnold and charged him for theft by taking. Forsyth County is asking anyone else who may have been a target in the crime to contact them at 770-718-3087.
