Described as one of the premier cupcakery in Atlanta, CamiCakes “specializes in gourmet cupcakes for Atlantan’s to enjoy for every occasion. The bakery offers an array of cupcakes like the Lemon Drop, Sweet Potato, Strawberries and Cream and the CinnaSwirl. The shop isn’t open on Sunday’s and sometimes they offer half-price cupcakes on Saturday, in order to sellout. All cupcakes are baked fresh, daily. And this shop has locations in Jacksonville and Tinseltown, Florida. CamiCakes is located at 2221 Peachtree Road in Atlanta.

Tucked away in Milton, Jilly’s Cupcakery is a family owned cupcake bakery which offers cupcakes for every occasion.

DINNERS ON A DIME: Real Southern Bar-B-Que

ATHENS, Ga. – This week, Dinners on a Dime features the best in local BBQ. Every Tuesday Where U Live chooses four favorite eats in your area for you to take your family and friends for a fabulous meal for a price that’s economically feasible in today’s economy.

According to some, Jim and Nick’s BBQ is typical chain barbecue but according to others, it’s the best in town. The restaurant serves up the best fried catfish and isn’t too shabby when it comes to the fixings. Guests rave about their cornbread cheese muffins, salads and baked potatoes. Although the restaurant is popular for BBQ, they host a weekly Taco Night on Tuesdays. The restaurant is located at 1103 Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee.

Jot Em Down BBQ and Store is popular with the locals and UGA students, alike. The residents boasts that they do BBQ “the way it’s s’posed to be”.

Popular Mori House offers diners the opportunity to “experience Japanese style cuisine” for an affordable price. This restaurant strives to provide diners with high quality, traditional sushi and sashimi. The restaurant offers, both, an ala carte and omakaze style of dining. The restaurant is located at 4325 Suwanee Dam Road in Suwannee.

The restaurant Sushi Kita is described as, “a nice, clean, small sushi restaurant” on the main stretch of Suwannee. According to loyal diners, the restaurant offers a very comfortable environment and the octopus salad is a favorite. The restaurant doesn’t boast a fancy menu however, it settles the cravings.
